Prof. Dr. Thomas Meyer has been working at the Charité since the start of 2002. He set up the special clinic and is director of the outpatient clinic.
Angela Licht works as secretary of the Neurology Polyclinic and has looked after the essential communication and documentation tasks of the ALS outpatient department since 2002. She makes the appointments and manages all the correspondence.
Peter Linke is registrar and medical investigator and has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ALS. He has been highly involved since 2002 in planning and conducting ALS therapy studies. His special interest is in implementing modern information technologies in the specialised care of ALS patients.
Dr. Nadja Borisow has been working since 2006 as registrar in the ALS outpatient department. She is familiar with all aspects of the specialised care of ALS patients and was involved as investigator in conducting two therapy studies.
Dr. Jörn Dullinger has been a member of the ALS team since 2003 and is responsible for the care of ALS patients and for carrying out clinical studies. His special area of scientific competence is elucidation of genetic causes of ALS.
Kerstin Krause has been responsible since 2002 as clinical nurse and study nurse for preparing for visits, carrying out additional investigations and administrative tasks. Even before working in our clinic, she had the responsibilities of a study nurse. With this competence, she is responsible for running clinical studies here.
Dorit Strassenburg has been working on our team as study nurse since 2007. Due to her previous work as a study nurse, she assists in the professional conduct of clinical studies in our clinic. Apart from her involvement in clinical studies, she is responsible for all aspects of outpatient care.
André Maier has been a researcher with the ALS team since 2006 and is highly involved in clinical research projects. His special interest is research into the cause and treatment of unwanted weight loss in ALS.
Gabriele Frisch has been a member of the ALS team since 2007. She works alongside the ALS outpatient clinic as dietician. She has had many years of active experience in the field of dietary therapy including optimised natural diet, supplementary nutrition and artificial feeding.
