International Patients

The ALS department of the Charité provides medical services in diagnosis, consulting and treatment of international patients.

How we can help
You can request an appointment, a medical service or a second opinion at the ALS department. It will be our pleasure to help you. To assure that your time and resources are well spent, please send us your recent medical records in English or German before we schedule an appointment. Once your medical records are received, one of our ALS specialists will review your case and communicate our thoughts about a visit to the Charité. Please forward your medical records in English or German via fax, electronic mail or international courier to:

Appointments
To request an appointment at the ALS department, please contact us via electronic mail, fax, or international courier. To expedite the process, we ask you for information about your medical concern, how to contact you, and the preferred date for your appointment. Once we have received this information, you will be contacted by a team member handling your case and guiding you through the process.

Financial Information
In case you need to receive inpatient treatment, Charité International will make you an individual offer. This contains the costs for treatment and the maximum treatment time. Provided either your insurance company or yourself undertake to pay these costs, we request an advance deposit to be paid to a specified account. Once this has been received, your admission can be organised.

Before each visit, a Charité International financial counsellor will confirm your appointment registration and prepare an estimate for the charges and payments of the specific services and/or treatments you are seeking. Please note, however, that actual charges may vary from the estimate.
